The second General Assembly of the EHTTA was held on October 19th in the impressive Nouveau building of Berzieri Spa of Salsomaggiore Terme - one of the most famous spas of Italy. The on October 19th. Delegates from member spa towns will attend this two-days meeting, a great opportunity for networking and sharing experiences but also to follow up last news on the development of EHTTA work programme.
An international delegation of 50 delegates from nearly 40 member spa towns attended this event, held over 2 days, and comprising the General Assembly, workshops on tourism and communication and a study tour through the spa facilities of Berzieri and Tabiano Terme, and also to marvel at the therapeutic landscapes of Emilia Romagna region, part of pilgrim's route of Vía Francigena.
Mr Bellandi reminded the high professional and fruitful work that has been done in the last six months by the Scientific Committee and the Taskforce supported by the Executive Council. He underlined the work in progress of the Thermal Atlas project under implementation by the Scientific Committee and the results of the Press Conference held in Strasbourg on the 15th September
The main issues discussed were:
- Presentation of the third phase of Thermal Atlas project by the Scientific Committee
- Entrance of the Province of Ourense as associate member
- Enlargement of the network
- Upcoming events to be attended by the network based on the collaboration with the European Institutions: COE – E.I.C.R and supported by private organizations in the field of tourism and culture.
