On 11th January, Stefano Dominioni, Executive Secretary of the Enlarged Partial Agreement and Director of the European Institute of Cultural Routes, EPA and EICR staff met with some representatives of European Route of Industrial Heritage, to discuss their project and the necessary developments, in view of a possible future candidacy as "Cultural Route of the Council of Europe".
On the 10th and 11th January, some representatives from the universities members of NCRS (Network on Cultural Routes Studies) gathered at the European Institute of Cultural Routes Studies premises, in order to discuss about various issues concerning the structure and the development of the Network.
The bulletin "Courrier du Patrimoine" of December 2017 included a dossier "Le patrimoine et l'itinérance" entirely dedicated to the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe.
The European Committee of the Regions offers a free massive online course (MOOC) on EU funding at regional and local level, meant to enable participants to find out more about the background of EU funds and how they work in practice.
The course will last six weeks (15th January - 23rd February), is available in English, German and French and is open to anyone interested in EU and regional and local affairs, and accessible on all devices.

The little sibling of the German Mozart Festival invites again in 2018 to experience Mozart differently. In addition to a festive concert by the Bavarian Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra with a lot of music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on his birthday, there will be dancing, singing, jamming, baking, swimming and much more together.
Mr Dominioni, Executive Secretary of the EPa and Director of the EICR, is attending the European Culture Forum 2017, a biennial event organised by the European Commission, in order to foster European cultural cooperation, to gather cultural sectors key stakeholders to discuss about EU culture policy and initiatives. The 2017 edition is taking place for the first time outside of Brussels, in Milan.
On the 5th December, in Milan (Italy) took place the third Meeting of the Stakeholders' Committee of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.
The event gathered around fifty participants, representing different Institutions involved in the preparation of the EYCH2018. The programme was dedicated to discuss about the implementation and the key challenges of the Year. In this regard, different thematic sessions were organised.
On Monday 4th December, the Representation of the European Commission and the Creative Europe Desk Luxembourg held at the European Information Center in Luxembourg an event dedicated to presenting European financing opportunities.
Mr Dominioni, Executive Secretary of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes, Director of the European Institute of Cultural Routes and Ms Berti, Council of Europe Cultural Routes Project Coordinator, were invited by Mr Marc Rettel (Project Manager - European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018, Luxembourg Cultural Action Agency) to take part in.
