LONG NIGHT OF MUSEUMS - 7 October 2017
Mozart's birthplace in Salzburg
The "ORF-Long Night of Museums" will once again attract thousands of visitors to visit the varied local museum world. For the first time, Mozart's birthplace will open its doors at night, and for good reason:
The house, in which Wolfgang Amadé Mozart was born on January 27 1756, is today one of the most visited museums in the world. Nowhere else will Wolfgang Amadé Mozart and his music be as vividly felt as in his birthplace. For exactly 100 years, this historic feature has been owned by the Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg. To celebrate this anniversary, the visitors of the "ORF-Long Night of Museum" can listen to the sounds of an original instrument by Wolfgang Amadé Mozart. His rarely played clavichord and the so-called Garser grand piano invite you to a musical journey.
Our program in Mozart's birthplace:
06 to 12 p.m.
Exciting tours and harmonious musical tastes await the visitors.
06:00 - 10:30 p.m.
The children learn about the games with which Wolfgang Amadé Mozart spent his musical journeys, and a crazy colorful gyro and a "comic" bird can be created.
