November 30 - December 03 2017
Music of Today is a key element in DIALOGUES, the contemporary music festival organized by the Mozarteum Foundation. In 2017 the young Czech composer Miroslav Srnka is the Festival’s starting point and principal focus of interest. His world of sound will be combined with the music of yesterday and of today in ways designed to create a field of tension and generate excitement. The Festival transcends the boundaries between the different genres, melding Srnka’s cosmos with classical, contemporary and modern electronic music as well as with the cinema and cabaret to create an unpretentious survey for an inquisitive and open-minded audience. Artists and ensembles such as Laura Aikin, Mahan Esfahani, oenm . österreichisches ensemble für neue music, Quatuor Diotima, The Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg with Pablo Heras-Casado, the Grandbrothers can be heard during the DIALOGUES Festival.
